What is erection?
When a man becomes aroused, signals from the brain and nerves cause blood vessels in the penis to relax and open up. This allows more blood to flow into the spongy tissues inside the penis, making it hard and erect. At the same time, veins that usually drain blood are compressed, keeping the blood in place and maintaining the erection. Once arousal ends, the blood flows out, and the penis returns to its normal state.

2. Physical Causes
- Weakness in the reproductive tissue (Shukra dhatu).
- Chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, or digestive issues (Agni disturbances).
3. Mental Causes
- Stress, anxiety, depression (Manasika doshas).
- Suppression of natural urges (Vegadharana).
