Herpes

Herpes simplex virus represents the most prevalent viral infection that is transmissible and primarily impacts the genital and oral regions. There are two distinct types: HSV-1, which is spread through oral contact, and HSV-2, which is sexually transmitted and responsible for oral and genital herpes, respectively. The principal symptom associated with this condition is the emergence of painful blisters at the site of infection. Additionally, individuals may experience sensations of tingling, itching, and burning in the affected area. Consequently, it is advisable for patients to adhere to a Pitta-shamak diet, which excludes citrus and spicy foods, among other recommendations.
