Henoch-Schonlein Purpura (HSP) is an autoimmune condition characterized by the inflammation of small blood vessels in the skin, intestines, kidneys, and joints. Symptoms may include small bruises, joint pain, and the presence of blood or protein in the urine. This condition predominantly affects children aged 2 to 6 years. To effectively manage the symptoms, a well-balanced diet is essential. Consumption of unhealthy foods, such as baked goods, processed items, citrus products, and foods that aggravate pitta, can heighten the risk of HSP. Therefore, individuals should refrain from consuming sugary beverages, junk food, desserts, and refined carbohydrates, and instead adopt healthier dietary habits.
