Halitosis

Halitosis, commonly referred to as bad breath, is marked by an unpleasant odor emanating from the mouth. The oral cavity hosts various bacteria, similar to the beneficial flora found in a healthy digestive system, which can contribute to this condition. Several factors can lead to bad breath, including inadequate oral hygiene, infections within the mouth, dental issues, or the proliferation of certain bacteria. Maintaining a nutritious diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables can significantly help combat bad breath. It is advisable to steer clear of foods with strong odors, such as onions, garlic, and processed items.
