Home Remedies for Anti-Aging or Progeria

Progeria, also known as Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, is a rare genetic condition that causes a person to age fast. Kids having Progeria do not live after age 1. Children with progeria appear healthy, but by the age of 2 years, they look as if they have become old too fast. The disease affects both sexes and all races equally. It affects about 1 in every 4 million births worldwide.

HGPS is caused by a mutation in the gene called LMNA. The LMNA gene produces the Lamin A protein, which is the structural scaffolding that holds the nucleus of a cell togther. Researchers now believe that the defective Lamin A protein makes the nucleus unstable. That cellular instability appears to lead to the process of premature aging in Progeria.
