Causes Associated With Genital Herpes

THERE ARE TWO TYPE OF HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GENITAL HERPES:-

  1. HSV -1 -In herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) there is the formation of cold sores, fever blisters around mouth and can spread to genital areas due to oral sex. These infections are less common than HSV -2.
  2. HSV -2 - Herpes simplex virus -2 is the most common cause of genital herpes. In this case viral infection spreads through sexual contact and through skin to skin contact. HSV -2 is a highly contagious virus.

Virus cannot survive outside the body and it die quickly. It is impossible to get infected by using the towels, toilets and other things used by the infected people.
